Green Mountain Fair Trade Coffee Gives Us Good Vibes

After growing up on a 500-acre farm where my aunts, uncles, and grandparents raised cattle, corn, costal and peanuts, the Fair Trade policies have been very intriguing to me.

Incase my readers aren’t familiar, Fair trade is a form of international trade that allows farmers a chance out of poverty by ensuring fair prices and sustainability. It allows producers to invest in their farms and communities’ abroad and lets farmers compete in the global marketplace. If a product has Fair Trade Certification, consumers can recognize and support the just trading policies of the producer by purchasing their product. This guarantees that farmers will receive profits. Look for this logo on Green Mountain coffee and other products to insure it's fair trade certified.

A few weeks ago, I got a campaign offer from bzzagent for Green Mountain fair trade coffee that I was very eager to try. We are big coffee drinkers at our house, with nine children you almost have to be! My oldest teenage son has long been a fan of all things made from the small, caffeinated beans. He relishes his morning coffee almost as much as he enjoys sleeping in on a Saturday morning and has recently started drinking his a.m. coffee with his youngest brother, who just turned two.

Not only do all the coffee drinkers in our house enjoy the coffee, but we also really like the idea of purchasing the fair trade products knowing that it helps out the farmers in our area make a living.

As you can see from the picture, the boys LOVE their new coffee. It smells rich and tastes smooth with no bitter after taste. The K-cups are so convenient and easy to use when everyone is rushing to get out the door in the mornings and great for when we only need a cup or two. The Green Mountain K-cups with the Fair Trade symbol give us great coffee and good vibes!! We’ve stocked up!
