Create A New Email

Email Address for Freebies

Hello y'all! If you haven't already done so, you should make a NEW email address specifically for signing up for freebies, coupons and deals. This will prevent a bunch of spam from coming into our business/home email. You should check it several times a day and be sure to keep the user name and password handy. I use mine to email companies, sign up for freebies and samples and just general "sign-ups".

The email address should be something you can remember easily so if you forget to check it for a week you won't have trouble remembering the ID and password.

Also a quick reminder...DON'T enter your home phone number on anything you fill out.You don't need those calls. If a company asks for your phone number, give them a call yourself and sign up over the phone. Not only is this fast, but you can then opt out of the phone number part. You can tell them you don't have a ho,me phone and that you're using a work line, or be honest and tell them you don't want sales calls. Many companies just use it to verify your address and have no intention of calling you. It should say why they ask for it, but if not, give them a call!

Project Payday - Great way to make money or scam?

After my best friend asked me about this site I decided to check it out.She wanted to sign up and make a little money working from home. I had never heard of this site before, but have done a lot of research on work at home scams.

The very first thing I did was visit their site. I entered a made up email address and name and logged in. I was taken to another page that told me I don’t have what it takes to make money online like he does. Who is this person? A stay at home mom like myself or maybe a dad or a company? There is a photo of a guy with his pockets turned inside out right next to this statement.I'm not sure what this is supposed to tell me other then he hasn't made any money at this either. Not very comforting.

I scrolled further down this page and found lot of screen shots of paypal accounts and lots of text. What I didn't understand is why are they still trying to sell me on the idea if I had already signed up? The first page said there was no investment involved as long as I signed up before midnight.

In order for me to access the Project Payday member section, I would need to complete a sponsor offer. Yes, you read that right, a sponsor offer. Whoever created Project Payday gets paid a large sum of money just so you can access their program. Not to mention, you WILL need to invest money to join. Now we're talking about giving out credit card info, and that's almost always never a good idea. This could potentially ruin your credit as well as open you up the identity theft. Now, I did NOT give them my credit info, so I can't comment 100% on what happens after this. However; I have done a little more research and can tell you a few other things to help make the decision a little easier for you.

After looking into several online forums I have concluded found that the way to make money is to "rip companies off". You ‘hire’ another user to complete an offer so that you make commission on whatever action needs to be taken. Then you pay the person you hired. Without question, this breaks the rules of almost every program site and you will be kicked out of whatever program you are in. This could mean the commissions you made could be taken away. Charges might also be pressed since when you sign up to do these offers you have to check that little box that says "I agree to the terms and conditions" of this site. This sounds VERY illegal to me.

I asked another friend of mine who once tried the program to tell me something "from the inside." She was willing to give me info, but what she said didn't sound like a way to make quick money.

Alright, you CAN make money using project payday, BUT (and this is a big but)It takes a long, long time, is very time consuming, monotonous and can be chancy. You will have to give them personal info, including address, phone number and email. I don't know about you, but my phone number doesn't get passed out to just anyone. You will also need to furnish your credit card information to sites that may or may not be sites you want having this info. If you don't keep track of what's spent and the offers, you stand to loss a LOT of money.

And finally, what is probably the biggest road block for me...the Better Business Bureau. Project Payday has three offices in the United States and NONE of them are registered with the BBB. That's never a good sign.

FYI, when you're doing more research on PPD, please be aware that most of the people who give PPD a bad review are people trying to sell you on their own work at home scam. Be cautious and don't give out your info to any site without doing a LOT or research.
Welcome to my blog...
